Remote (US preferred) Contract $90,000 – $135,000 / yr

About the Role

We are looking for a Senior Web Designer to lead the visual design of client-facing web applications and marketing sites. You will create wireframes, high-fidelity mockups, and design systems that balance aesthetics with usability. This role is for someone who understands that good design drives conversions, not just compliments.

Responsibilities

• Design responsive web application interfaces and marketing sites for SMB clients
• Create wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity mockups using Figma or similar tools
• Build and maintain component libraries and design systems for consistent delivery
• Collaborate with developers to ensure designs are implemented accurately
• Conduct design reviews and iterate based on client feedback and user testing
• Establish visual direction for new client projects based on brand guidelines and business goals

Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional web design experience with a strong portfolio
• Proficiency in Figma and modern design tools
• Deep understanding of responsive design, accessibility standards, and web typography
• Experience designing for conversion: landing pages, forms, CTAs, and user flows
• Ability to present and defend design decisions to clients and stakeholders

Nice to Have

• Experience with Tailwind CSS or utility-first design frameworks
• Familiarity with React component architecture and design-to-code handoff
• Background designing CRMs, dashboards, or internal business tools
• Experience working in a small agency or consultancy setting
• Understanding of SEO and performance implications of design choices
